No 7 HOT CLOTH CLEANSER

Description

This is a creamy cleanser, designed to be removed using a hot cloth; ideal to use as a first (makeup or sunscreen removal) or second cleanse (cleansing of the skin).  Reminds you of something, does it? It is very similar to the one by Liz Earle (the No 7 is more synthetic and doesn't feel as luxurious).

Pros

Excellent value for money. The No 7 Cleanser is priced at £9.95 for 200ml (and you can always use a Boots voucher).

The packaging. I love that it's clear, so that I know how much I have left. Nice generous pump.

It has similar main ingredients as some cult favourites (*cough* Liz *cough* Earle): Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Cetearyl alcohol, Glycerin

It's hypo-allergenic.

Cons

The smell is quite synthetic. It reminds me of Magic Tree air refresheners (which I cannot stand) but I started getting used to it.

The muslin cloth that comes with the cleanser is too small and scratchy. I prefer the classic face cloths to the muslin ones, anyway.

My feelings

I like creamy cleansers more and more as I get older but I have to be honest and tell you that I didn't expect to like this one, as at first I thought it was a badly executed Liz Earle rip-off. But my skin responded unexpectedly well to it! I am having almost 2 months of completely clear skin and this cleanser has definitely helped a little.

I use it as a 1st cleanse whenever I wear makeup or sunscreen (every day for the past 2-3 months). It leaves my skin clean, hydrated and prepped for the rest of my skincare. I would be repurchasing.
