There was a time in American History when there were a small percentage of people that owned just about everything. The rest of the people were starving and living in extreme poverty. The Robber Barons were called Robber Barons for a reason. That’s because the wages they paid were so low that they were essentially stealing labor from people. Another reason they were called robbers is that they were paying next to nothing for raw materials. Essentially the Robber Barons stole from the masses of people and got rich on the takings.
Wall Street Robber Barons
Today, we are seeing exactly the same thing. However, the last time this happened, there wasn’t a means of brainwashing the people through the media. These days, the New Robber Barons get away with it by telling the people all sorts of things:
a) They are poor because they aren’t working hard or smart enough
b) They are only poor for a reason or a season, and soon they will be just as rich.
c) They are poor because the Democrats/Republicans are making them poor. It’s all about government policy.
d) Jesus wants them to be rich and just as soon as God has finished testing them, they, too, will be rich.
e) It’s all about the law of attraction and if they aren’t rich yet, it’s because their thoughts are focused in the negative.
The truth is that this is a class war. It’s been here before, and it’s arrived once again. In Congress, wealthy people block anything that will change this situation - be they Republican or Democrat.
Mobsters and "Robber Barons have a lot in common. Neither has any respect for the law or morals, only for power. Neither can ever be satisfied with any amount of wealth. They will always need to steal more and more and more until they've completely bankrupted their victims."
Some people are still comfortable. They are also short sighted. They think that poverty won’t happen to them because they still have a comfortable job. And I hope it never does. However, small business is beginning to be adversely affected and so are the professions.
I’m going to repeat. We are once more living in a time of Robber Barons. It’s time to use every tool we can to get back to putting people above profit. It’s time we stopped admiring people because they are rich. There is nothing to be admired about companies that indulge in wage slavery.
Study the times of the Robber Barons and understand why it’s bad for all of us.
