So I've
heard so much hype about these brightening pads, that I decided to try
them since my skin isn't very good at keeping itself 'clean' and needs
an acidic boost of some sort.
What are they? 40 oil free pads with a special fruit-acid
complex, designed for all skins but sensitive. They are textured (so
you do get a bit of physical exfoliation) and quite wet.
What they promise is to peel away dead, damaged surface skin and bring back radiance. There's
no redness or irritation, as the fruit acids give, in this case, a mild exfoliation to the skin (compared to glycolic and other chemical acids).
How to use Twice
a week on clean skin. You can follow with your serum/moisturiser or
leave it as it is. When I didn't use a moisturiser on top, I noticed
getting very oily, so what I do is just use the pads instead of a toner
2-3 times a week. Store the tub upside down; it helps to keep the
moisture in.
Did they work for me? Yes
and No. I had high hopes for this product. I thought it would manage to
keep my pores clean, prevent break outs, fade acne marks etc etc. It
felt good on my skin but I didn't notice a major difference. What I did
notice though was radiance. Definitely.
Overall I
think that I wasn't the ideal candidate to use these, as I'm still
battling with hormonal acne. However, these pads could work for those of
you that suffer from sun-damage, marks and dull skin tone. It could
combat hyper-pigmentation if you use it regularly and it definitely deserves to be in your "need some glow now!" cabinet (along with my other favourite by Ren here) for when your skin needs a pick-me-up.
