November 27 - Science 8/9

We used the block to cement a few key concepts and definitions into place.  Students were given two packages. 

They were given the first package on "Traits" and then allowed 10 minutes to read the top/cover page - highlighting and identifying important information.  They were also asked to complete the exercises to help develop the concepts associated with Traits, Individual Traits or Characteristics.

Once they had completed the first reading and exercises, they were given the second package which focused on Chromosomes.  Once again students were asked to complete reading the cover page, highlighting and creating notes for the information found there. They were provided 10 - 15 minutes for this second task.

I identified the key concepts and definitions from the reading, finally as a group we reviewed each and defined them together.
