We started with a review of working with decimals... adding and subtracting and quickly entered into multiplication of decimals an two digit numbers,
What was quickly recognized was that many students have forgotten the basic skill of multiplying numbers without a calculator. So, we spent the majority of our math block, and then all of our science block reviewing the concept and practicing the 3 basic skills (adding, subtracting and multiplying decimal), and well as rounding and estimating.
Students were given a practice package and asked to complete from page 135 - 140. As a result of our use of the Science class for review and practice, the Science Test originally planned for Monday will be pushed off until Wednesday.
