It is free to sign up for PayPal and can be done in just a few minutes. You simply need to fill out some questions, such as your name, address, phone number and state of residence. Some countries cannot receive money through PayPal and you must check their list to see if your country is included.

After you set up your account and enter a password to be used, you must fill in your bank information. PayPal wants to have a debit card, such as a Visa account or credit card before they can let your transfer money automatically. If you do not have a bank, you can request a check be mailed to you which take around two weeks.
