I have tried a few Dermalogica products this year and my general opinion about the brand is that it's OK. There is a lot of hype around their products but they don't really deliver. Not for me.
So. The gentle cream exfoliant. A non-abrasive cream mask that contains hydroxy acid and fruit enzymes. Sensitive skins will benefit from the lack of artificial colour and fragrance as well as from the really mild exfoliating action. It removes dead skin cells and impurities from the skin, thus boosting cell renewal. All you have to do is apply, leave on for 10-15 and wash off.
All well and good. It works; it really does. The skin is left soft and supple. Sometimes it looks glowy even. I personally didn't see any difference when it comes to my acne, but it could make a difference for someone else, since it leaves the pores nice and clear (which means the sebum won't get trapped in the pore causing spots).
What the problem is in my opinion is the balance between value and money. This (as most Dermalogica products) is really over-priced for what it actually does. Personally I had seen better results from a similar but budget product: Neutrogena's visibly clear 2-in-1 wash & mask (click here to read my review on it). When I run out I will either opt for Neutrogena, or go for an expensive product that actually does more than the high-street equivalent.
