Epic Fail or Epic Success

I love how God uses people that don't always have it together. Think of your favorite Bible hero. Once you get passed the "knight in shining armor", check out who that person really was. Chances are it was a normal everyday person like you and me, that did extraordinary stuff. What's makes this person special? It's because he/she said, "YES" to God. They took a back seat to self and submitted to Him. Sure they weren't perfect, in fact some were glaringly the opposite...but the fact remains they said yes and surrendered to God. Once that was done, then their lives changed. Not only did their faith change the way their circles of influence thought, but their testimonies are still changing lives in 2011! How amazing is that? What if we could do that. Here are some examples of famous Bible people that were pretty jacked up by life or themselves, but God still used them!

The Bible isn’t filled with examples of “all-together” & “perfect” people

·       Joseph was abused

·       Moses stuttered

·       Gideon was poor

·       Rahab was immoral

·       Elijah was suicidal

·       Jeremiah was depressed

·       Thomas had lots of doubts

·       Samson was insecure

·       Zacchaeus was mean & unpopular

·       Martha struggled to make good decisions

After reading this, I hope you see that there is a huge potential for you, for me, and that person down the hall. Now we just need to submit and do what God tells us to do!
