We started of the scene in the town of Fallcrest. The Blacksmith Onwin, was doing his daily work, working on preperation to finish of the southern wall re-build.
The Warlord Erich, a major character in the publics eye, was overseeing the construction when he was called over to the gate; there standing out of place, where two Eladrin and a Goliath.
"Why are you hear" he asks sternly, in a low booming voice that most male dragonborn have.
"Whats it to you." one of the Eladrin murmurs, in a snide female voice.
"Its not normal for distant fey to come by here" he replies, agitated from the remark.
Before things got out of hand, one of the Eladrin, hooded so he could not be made out, steps in between and hands a piece of paper to the warlord and whispers,
"Its of great urgency that we see the Lord".
As he hears this the paper magically unfolds, containing the writing and the seals of the four court members of the Court of Leaves in the Autumn Glades.
"Why didn't you say this before? Come I'll take you there, my names Erich"
"Sookie" the female Eladrin adds.
"Lo-Kag" greets the Goliath.
"Ohnoneon" bows the remaining Eladrin.
They set off towards the Lords great house, passing the blacksmith to be soon accompanied by the Half-Orc blacksmith, curious of such new comers.
Meanwhile...Within the hidden walls of the thieves guild, two heads of the guild, one of gnome decent and the other half elf, converse of rumors of broken trade.
"so what do you think of the rumors and the lack of trade coming in?"
"It does concern me, mainly about the big shipment coming in next week that the city needs to get some funds back in" the hooded figure replies.
"Yes, that is of importance. Have you heard the new thing the Lord Warden is trying to keep stum about?"
"No?" he replies, puzzled in this new info.
"There have been a few minor settlements wiped of the map; one near Stormreach and one near Thunderspire, which reminds me, i got given this, which unfortunately i cant attend. So i need you to go for me Glosgo."
He opens the letter, and its addressed from the Lord. It reads that there is a meeting that day in the afternoon.
"It a bit late notice don't you think?" Glosgo mumbles.
"Its of urgency, its about the trade i believe, if i got sent this personally and not through one of our links topside, then i think you should go, no matter what you have planed."A resentful Gnome agrees to go, and fades away.
The warlord and his retinue walk into the grand hall of the Lords house, to be greeted by a worrying site; the head priest is standing talking and guiding people to his caravan, which can be seen out of one of the lead lined window. Its torn up, singed around the breakages, and the same on the priests adornments.
"Priest, what seems to be the trouble?" queries Erich.
"I was on my way back on my caravan, containing a small amount of value, when were attack by beasts and creatures of unknown, we lost a few but we managed to fend ourselves before they were sucked back by some force only gods could make. After i tend to my caravan ill be heading to the Lords meeting chambers to relay what has happened."
He stops for a moment to absorb his surroundings and finds the Warlord accompanied by four others.
"You seem to have some followers of your own" he questions, "some few in fact. You must of traveled far Eladrin" acknowledging there presence.
The Eladrin nod in response.
"Yes, there here to see the Lord themselves, maybe you should tag along?" offers the warlord, "Names Erich"
"Roamin" Bows the Priest.

The group walks into the office and its in a ruckus; Paper everywhere, people talking/ shouting at each other, Halfings rushing around, a couple of people looking at maps pointing in urgency. Then they all look up.
"What are you doing here!" Grills a Half-Elf lady, hair pulled back, glasses on the bridge of her nose, "The lord hasn't got any meetings this hour. Well come on."
"I have and envoy of three from the Feywild, here to see the lord on important matters" replies Erich.
"Oh. I see, this is odd" suddenly puzzled by visit.
"So yeah can we see him now." Demands Sookie,
she moves over to a Halfling, says something to him, and walks off through the double doors.
He soon comes back and bids entry to the group.
The group walks through the giant Oak doors, leading to a giant room with stained glass windows on all sides. At the far end sits the lord reaming through papers on the table, and then glances up and stares. thr group walks up to the giant oval table and the Lord stands up.
"Ah visitors from the Feywild, may i ask why the urgency"
Erich walks up the side, accompanied by the two Eladrin and the Goliath and hands him the piece of paper with the seals embossed in corresponding colours.
after reading the paper, he turns around and hold the paper up, facing a specific part of the window, and then the paper expands revealing more writing and boxes containing information and small doodles.
Erich rolls for perception, but on his roll he can only see what looks to be small maps, drawings of some humanoid creatures and what looks to be co-ordinates with notes surrounding them. So does Lo-Kag, and sees the same.
Glosgo rolls also and sees the same, but makes out a couple of the humanoid creatures, one if a singular eye, and the other with a hunchback appearance.
The group stares at the lord, and feel an unnerving, tense aura from him. He sits back down, taps his feet, and then asks everyone to sit down.
"Your all, most likely, wondering whats going on"
He looks to his side and out of the dark walks Glosgo and sits down.
"There have been rumors floating around about trade gone missing, attacks on trade routes and the like. these are all true. I have been told there has been a recent one [looks over to the priest] and now they have spread to the Feywild [and acknowledges the three from the fey], which is now being tendered to, you will be compensated priest"
"I would rather the families of those who we have lost, be compensated my Lord" says Roamin
"Yes, this will be done as soon as we can priest, getting back to the main issue, there have been more dire news. A couple of settlements have been, lets say, removed from the map by an unknown force, and strangely, no survivors where found or bodies for that matter. Which reminds me"
he looks over to Tarrion, and he blinks out of the room.
"We're now starting to check up on the local, making sure there defenses are the best they can muster, and seeing if we can move things around or move people out to stronger places of holding."
"So whats going to happen to my home" Sookie snaps, glaring at the Lord.
"We will do our best only problem is we dont currently have anyone trained to contend with the differences in the Fey, as you know, its quite a dangerous place by any means."
She stares at him, unimpressed by his comment.
"This is a difficult thing for us to plan, my logistics team" pointing out back to the door, "have a lot on there hands, and being spread thinly, it takes time to do things"
They continue talking about such matters and how there rebuilding the defenses of the southern wall, the wizards guild is looking into ancient runes, not used since the time of the Nerath civilization.
After the meeting he asks each member if they can lend a hand.
"Im not going to help" Sookie says dryly. The Lord pics up the paper from the court and magically pulls out a piece of paper from one of the seals,
"Your father has asked of this, he says that the help of you and your brother will aid our effort tenfold."
She rolls her eyes resentfully agreeing, and they all leave.
The group congregate to the nearest tavern, as ordered by the Lord, using his tab for anything they need/ want. And after a night of talking, getting to know each other, they all fall back to there residences for sleep.
The next day arrives. Erich stumbles back to the militia barracks, walking past the blacksmith where Onwin is already working banging away on his anvil.
"Onwin, stop that, erghh" he moans
"Morning Erich" Grins the half-orc, and carries on hammering away.Sookie and Lo-Kag are back at the tavern, after saying there the night, and there eating there breakfast quiet and content.
Roamin is conducting the morning prayers, and tending to the wounded from his escapade.
All is well until the town bell rings. [The Dm describes the bell, and that it is only rung when there's something of dire importance]
The character hurry to the main gate to the west, along the way Onwin and Erich almost get trampled by the lord on horseback. Obviously something is happening.
They get to the main entrance square; the 5 of the group looking into a small crowd where they can see the lord standing over someone and a horse being tamed. the rouge looks on intently from afar wondering whats going on.
Soon the Lord gets back onto his horse and spots the group,
"Sookie!" he shouts, "I have dire news, its concerns your brother, hes in winterhaven currently and the hold is under attack by a force of giants"
"What!" she shouts, and with a quick step, she was off back to the tavern to get her supplies."Meet me back at the house and ill give you the information i know, you're the only spare hands we have, we cant afford to lose Winterhaven" and with that he was off thundering past the group back to the manor.
Back at the Lords house, he tell the group a force has attack the hold, destroying everything in there path, the person on horse back only just survived by the skin of there teeth, he said an Eladrin fought courageously and aided in the regroup of the inhabitants to the main keep.
No more was said, and the adventurers where on the road.
They traveled for a good 4 hours, keeping to the main road for that, even with the raids of trade etc, it was the safest way.
When they came to a forest, which had an ominous feel to it, Lo-Kag rolled nature, and gained the sense not everything was in key like it should, and Sookie rolled for perception and she confirmed there was a lack of wildlife stirring within the brush.
They came to an opening out of the forest and noticed smoke in the distance. Continuing on the find the cause of this smoke; Ahead on a stone bridge stood an Ogre, clad in leather and plate, holding giant stone maul. To the front of the bridge where two smaller ogres chopping wood from what looked to be a wagon, and busting open crates. Then to the far back of the bridge stood a Giant looking around at his spoils.
The party gained the surprise round, Sookie dealing a decent amount of damage to the Ogre on the bridge starting the skirmish. Erich, Roamin, Lo-Kag and Onwin ran up to intercept the ogres, whilst the Rogue hid in a bush dealing sneak attack damage to the Ogre on the bridge.
Round 1 followed, with the Hill Giant slinger opening up combat, slowing the Paladin with a sticky pot of resin, then the Ranger scored a critical, dealing a phenomenal amount of damage and extra damage due to her greatbow qualities.
The paladin brought forth the power of his divine god, smiting one of the ogres in front in one hit. The ironclad ogre came charging forth but in his mad bloodiness dealt no damage. The fight went on both sides dealing blows but the party dealing the best of them. They finished the ironclad off with a mighty blow, the rogue one hit the lesser ogres between the eyes, and the fight was on the slinger.
The Paladin finally saved against his slowness, rubbing off the resin, and the close combat players where across the bridge. The Goliath one with nature, went for a dip, crossing the river. After taking a few hits the Goliath, Half Orc, Human and Dragonborn brought the pain, slaying the giant slinger.
The party looks over the event, blood rushing, wondering whats going on.
For all party members, you regain all spent spell/ powers, you are at full HP and regain the action points spent in this encounter [Was a warm up] ;) .
