minor: small size

H. truncata var. minor  is a small variety of truncata from area between Kammanassie Dam and Dysseldorp. It is much smaller, size of rosette is to 3-4 cm in diameter. Leave tips are usually spinescent, something like small hairs. Breuer is now using name H. papillaris for this element.

Distribution map

In cultivation it remains small and very slowly offsetts. This variety is now propagated by tissue culture, so the pressure to the plants in nature is much lower. Cutlivation is same as other truncata.
