So if you can't tell already, today I have a review on the Garnier BB Cream! Now I was a little skeptical of BB creams in general, until I tried one out at Sephora. Like I said in my haul, I got a sample of the Smashbox BB cream and although I have not used that sample, I did apply it in the store and loved the end result. So I decided to get a cheaper alternative to test out, and that is the Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream.
If you can see from the swatch, it is pretty light. The one bad thing about this product is that it only comes in 2 shades- light/medium (featured) and medium/dark. I figured medium/dark would be too dark, so I got the light one thinking I could just even it out with some bronzer.
To my shock, I did not have to apply extra bronzer! I just applied it as I do my tinted moisturizer, and it blended perfectly into my skin! One thing that I love about this product is that it has spf, but it also acts as a primer, so I did not have to apply one. From the pictures below, you can tell that it did not keep my face matte (which I was not expecting) but, having already oily skin, I did not feel that I had to blot. I only got oily in my T-Zone, which is common, but the makeup did not budge at all (I usually have to reapply to my chin and nose area). I am very VERY impressed with this product, and would highly recommend it for the summer!
This is what it looked like after powder and setting spray, this morning (around 9 am) |
This is what my face looked like when I got home from work, no blotting, added powder or anything! (around 6:30 pm) I RATE THIS PRODUCT 4 SLOTH HUGS! xoxo, Kathryn♡ |
