There is nothing I like better than eating these date bars and a large banana mango smoothie made with almond milk. Living healthy is my way of life. With my very hectic lifestyle as an Associate Broker and mom to my darling girls, I must maintain my body.
Working out at the gym is a routine I do daily to keep my slim body and maintain myself. I so want to help others know how to be healthy and live the life that they have only dreamed at in the past.
As a "Team Bombshell Figure Athlete" I must live up to my title with honor, ethics and overall promise to humanity to "Pay it Forward." It is my sincere hope that you will enjoy knowing more about my lifestyle and my eating habits. Life is short and we must all share the love. Sandra
Cranberry, Coconut and Date Raw Bars
When you think of raw, don't go yuk! These are the most delicious and nutritious bars you can ever make. It takes almost no time at all to make these and your children will love them too.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kilo of date paste
- 1/4 cup of dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/3 cup walnuts
- 2 tablespoons coconut
- 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Water
Directions:
- Place the cranberries, almonds, walnuts and coconut in a food processor. Pulse for a few times till they are chopped fine. Add in the freshly ground flax seeds and the sesame seeds and pulse once or twice more.
- Take the date paste and cut into small chunks and slowly add them to the nut mixture. Mix the nut mixture and the dates together thoroughly, using some water to make it pliable.
- Brush a rectangle glass baking dish or whatever you have available with cold pressed olive oil and press the date mixture down in the pan.
- Make sure the mixture is tightly pressed in place. Place the pan in the refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Cut these bars into small logs or squares and store in an airtight container. Your family will not believe that these raw bars are so good.
