I have been focused on showing the radiance that we all have for almost a year now, but until today I have said nothing about our pets. I haven't deliberately omitted them. They certainly are creatures who know how to give unconditionally. Maybe that's why I haven't written about them. They already know they are beautiful and they see beyond our egos and into our hearts. Our four legged friends are the Universe's reminder of unconditional love. They don't care how much money we have in our accounts or what physical shape we may be in. Our pets are our constant reminders that we are made in the image of God.
My sister Monica has many pets. Two horses, a chicken, some song birds and three dogs. One, "Nitro" is an Australian Shepherd or "Aussie" and they along with The Paws Box, The Australian Shepherd Rescue in Michigan or ARIM and a sweet deal is what I want to focus on today.
Monica and her friend Lynn, recently opened their online store called The Paws Box on which they sell agility, chew and tug toys and very snazzy bandannas they created. Monica and Lynn believe in the outstanding quality of their products and want to share them with you and especially your pets. They are also much involved in ARIM. Lynn says her dog Cali "was given up from a family who couldn’t keep her because the little girl’s father was deployed to Iraq. We adopted her from ARIM. Cali is a very special dog. She’s so smart. Aussies typically are know as Velcro dogs. They stick right by you. Cali follows me around the house and loves to be with us as often as possible! She stays with us on trail rides and instinctively knows to move out of the horses way when we tell her to “look out” she moves to the back of the line. She loves to catch her favorite Frisbee and does flips in the air and ground to get it. She has recently learned to walk like a bear on her hind legs. As long as she gets enough exercise, she lays calmly by your side at the end of the day." Lynn adds that Cali "enjoys 4-H agility, trail riding, camping, boating as well as many other things. I am really impressed with ARIM’s ability to carefully match the dog to the appropriate family. There are many more wonderful dogs like Cali that for whatever reason, need a loving home that has the knowledge to appreciate and use the dog for what they were originally bred for. Monica says that often people decide they want an Aussie for their unique eye color. Often one eye is different from the other or in some cases they may have bi-colored or "split" eyes meaning that an eye might be colored brown and blue. Because of this unique trait and their intelligence, some otherwise well meaning souls think that they will fit well into any living condition presented to them. Aussies are not meant for small homes with cramped or no yard space to run nor are they meant to lie around all day. Their responsible human companions make certain to take them for walks and have large spaces for them to run in. Lynn says that "people get them because they think they're cool dogs but don't do their research. They need an active family and need to have a job to do. Not good for apartment life or couch potatoes." Monica says Nitro is always looking for his next activity. He loves to run in their wooded acreage and often taunts her two corgis with his chew toys to entice them to play keep away. Nitro can speak on a signal, loves to jump through hoops, shakes hands and will even slap five. I inquired if he misbehaves. Monica offered that he did chew up his bed four years ago but rarely misbehaves now and on the rare occasion that he feels that he isn't good as gold, he will "crate" himself. A very amazing creature!
Now, about that sweet deal. Because Monica and Lynn love their Aussies and all dogs. And because they want them to stay active they are making this offer to you. Mention "Radiant You" when purchasing an adjustable "Vertical Jump" made of quality ¾" PVC from The Paws Box and they will send to you along with your pet's agility equipment a coupon worth 20% off anything you purchase from the Paws Box. And for every purchase made on any of the fine quality products Monica and Lynn will donate 10% of the purchase price to ARIM. Remember though that the 20% coupon offer is only for the Vertical Jump and you must mention "Radiant You "when ordering.
And with that, I send you and your pets much love!
