Haworthia mucronata var. habdomadis

H. mucronata var. habdomadis, Seweweekspoort

Haworthia mucronata var. habdomadis (V.Poelln.) M.B.Bayer

habdomadis: referring to the Seweweekspoort

H. mucronata var. habdomadis is a "mucronata" element from area around Seweweekspoort. It grows in a sandstone, it is slowly proliferous species. Some forms has spined leaves others not. Leaves are broader and shorter than in var. mucronata. North of Seweweekspoort grows some intermediate form of H.decipiens, H. arachnoidea and maybe var. habdomadis is mixed there too.

Distribution map

In cultivation to me all  mucronata group is a bit tricky - sensitive to too much water in wrong time. Propagation by seed, sometimes by offsetts.
