Hi everyone reading this:
I hope your week is going well so far. I must say that I am truly enjoying keeping up with my blogs. This is fun sitting in my office and just typing away. So much thanks to all the people that read them. It is greatly appreciated! (just wanted you to know that) As you should know by now I love to start off with a quote and then give my personal insight on it. So tonight is no different. Tonight is about inner beauty and how it is priceless and worth so much more than just the outer beauty.
- PERSONAL BEAUTY IS A GREATER RECOMMENDATION THAN ANY LETTER OF REFERENCE... - Aristotle
I remember growing up and being so insecure about my height. I was taller than most boys and all of the girls. It felt awkward to go into parties and into crowded rooms. I hated being taller...it sucked. Did you know that I use to get teased about my height all the time? YUP! Sure did. I use to cry to my mother and ask why did I have to be born like this. I just didn't love me on the inside and there definitely was no confidence within me. But after time I grew up and started loving myself. I started appreciating the small details of what made up Angel! And it felt good too!!
People tend to say a person with confidence will get a job, mate, or even friends over a person who lacks confidence. Do you think that's true? And tell me something, how do you think a person gets confidence? What are the steps they need to take to gain confidence? Well, it starts by believing in yourself. Yes, I had to start believing in myself. And as were all probably saying to ourselves right now, it is easier said than done. And from personal experience it took me years to start truly and genuinely believing in myself. Becoming completely satisfied with who you are and what you look like can be a very frustrating thing for most people. Especially when there are so many commercials and things in the media portraying images that are unrealistic for most. The media plays on women that are skinny, with big butts, small waists, big breasts, long hair, or lighter complexion. Its ridiculous!! Sometimes I have to even turn the tv off because I hate seeing it. But building that confidence within yourself will take time and effort on your part. Not only does it take time and hard work but sometimes it includes failure.
Take things step-by-step and set small goals for yourself. If your wanting to shed some unwanted pounds (like myself) why not try setting your alarm for a little earlier in the morning and doing some exercises. Try not buying junk food items so then when you get the cravings the food won't even be in the house. You can always start meditating (helps you to gain inner peace), start evaluating the most important things to you in your life and you will start to see the change.
REMEMBER - love yourself first. You were made with love and especially unique. There is no one like you!
