God Never Let's Go

You know what's cool about God? He's never changing. No matter what the world throws at you, He is the same no matter what. Look through the Bible and you will see it yourself. For example, check out the Old Testament. He was the same God talking to Adam as He was talking to Noah. He was the same God that spoke to Moses through a burning bush. God was the same God that led Moses and the Israelites to the promise land. That same God sent his Son to be a sacrifice for our sins so that we could once again join Him in heaven. How amazing is that?

Fast forward a couple of years, more than a couple actually, to the year 2011. The same God that did all the things I mentioned above is the same God that loves me. He is the same God that loves you. He is the same God that sees the good, the bad, and the ugly in human nature. He is the same God that sees you in your angry moments when life throws a curve ball. He is the same God that sees you rejoice. He sees that cancer patient rejoicing hearing that there isn't a trace of cancer left in their body. He hears the cry of parents learning that their newborn has cystic fibrosis. He also sees couples sitting under a big Oak tree having a simple picnic.

The cool thing about our God is that He never lets go. Show me a place in the Bible that God walked away from them. You won't. You can't. Sure, bad things happen to people but that doesn't mean that God changed His mind about the people involved. Look at Job in the Bible. His life was great then it took a disastrous turn...but look how it ended.

What's sad is that there are people that don't know this. There are people that might feel like God has let go, walked away, and left them. They feel like God is a thousand miles away. Little do they know that God is there through the good and the bad times. He never lets go. What if you are that person to show them that? What if you could teach a child that simple but hard concept? Could you imagine the difference in their lives?

The video below is something that I came across a few minutes ago while on youtube. It's David Crowder Band's "Never Let Go". The words of this song fit perfectly with my thoughts on this blog. Be warned, some of the images are pretty graphic and are taken from the Haiti earthquake in 2010. I'm sure that a video with smiling faces would be nice, but this is real life. Bad stuff happens, but God never lets go. Even in the midst of their problems...God never let go.
